Peak-A-Pillow brief
Peak-A-Pillow is actually a cushion but ‘Peak-A-Cushion’ didn’t quite have the same ring to it.
It’s a cushion designed with a purpose – for the faint-of-heart to be able to hide behind when they’re watching a horror movie or thriller.
But rather than just being a solid pillow, I thought it should have unique ‘peeking’ features because, let’s admit it, we all want to see the nastiness, just as long as it’s through a very small aperture.
I thought the pillow should probably have 3 holes in it of varying sizes. The smallest one for peeking through would be useful for the truly petrified. Working your way up to the largest hole, for when the nerves have calmed or for those with a stronger disposition.
It should also have other ways of peeking through which could be a split in the cushion on one edge so you can open it to the width you like then release it so it quickly closes it up again. Maybe there are other ways as well.
I’ve scribbled a terrible sketch, which is only meant as a guide. Please see attached image.
The only other thing to think about is what pattern or picture can adorn the cushion. It could be horror imagery on one side and happy imagery on the other for instance. Or is it just a happy colour one side and black on the outside as it were? When I look at my sketch, I can actually see the face of a monster with three eyes but I’ll leave it to you. Keep in mind, this cushion could be targeted at kids, teens or adults.
Apart from being a unique pillow to look at, the cover will be important so please think about this aspect as well.
That’s the brief. I look forward to hearing from any interested parties. Thank you.
