Job Requirements
To provide a design, user interface and look and feel for our new web site. This is to include:
1. A design for the home page and product/details page, based on supplied wireframes. You must use your design skill and initiative to produce a design that does not stick rigidly to the wireframe, but takes the elements and moulds them into a cohesive, logical and intuitive look and feel.
2. To provide a basic brand and style guide including a refreshed logo. This doesn't need to be a comprehensive set of guidelines, but just a basic set of colours, fonts and graphics.
Style
The style of the site should reflect the feel that this is a modern take on what is perceived to be a tired industry. We are looking for a similar type of look as that achieved for many hosted software applications like basecamp, people per hour etc and should be a clean, user focused design that is easy to understand and pick up and play with. Users should recognise that we are a modern thinking company with our fingers on the pulse of what our customers need and want and this includes having a user interface that is intuitive, easy to use and follows modern design standards. Attention to detail is absolutely critical indeed this is our hallmark in all aspects of our company.
Bid Details
Bidders under consideration will be given an expanded brief with more detail on our company, our existing site, our competitors and examples of sites with a similar look and feel to that we are looking to achieve.
Please ensure you submit a decent portfolio of your work in your bid specifically including examples of your web design work. In particular I want to see examples of complex dynamic/web 2.0 web sites that you have designed.
Many thanks for your time.
