Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Information for the business: Energy sector (hydropower)
Industry: Technology
Design details: We are producing some presentation materials and we need a series of graphics to be drawn. Note the graphics are for use in a PowerPoint presentation, but it's not PPT slides we are looking for - it is graphics that we can use in slides.
There are two main type of graphic we need:
1. Standard graphs / charts / maps. These will all be re-drawings of graphics that already exist, but what we are looking for is a designer who can bring them into a consistent style that is in line with our new brand identity.
2. Technical drawings of hydropower technology and equipment. These are mostly 3D. Again they are re-drawings of existing graphics.
See the attached document which shows the previous versions of the graphics. The ones that we require work on are as follows:
Standard graphs/charts
• 1.1 – charts of electricity by source
• 1.2 – projected future deployment graph
• 1.3 – contribution by renewables pie chart
• 1.4 – growth in hydropower deployment graph
• 1.5 – map of current deployment and estimated potential
• 1.6 – new capacity added graph
• 1.7 – chart of countries with most potential
• 3.1 – peak and base load generation graph
• 3.2 – firming capacity graph
• 3.3 – energy storage peaks/troughs graph
• 4.1 – lifecycle longevity graph
• 4.2 – lifecycle risk profile graph
• 5.2 – uncertainty of climate change graphic
• 5.3 – hydrological risk graph (not the image)
• 5.4 – seasonal and adaptation graph
• 6.3.2 – hydropower and land use change graph
• 6.3.3 – greenhouse gas footprint flow chart
• 8.1 – sustainability assessment flowchart
• 8.3 – protocol structure graphic (showing four stages of development)
• 8.4 – scope of topics chart
• 8.5 – presentation of protocol results spider diagram
• 8.6 – map of training and applications done to date
• 8.7 – results spider diagram (very similar to 8.5)
More technical drawings
• 1.8 – cross-section of hydropower’s role in an energy system, 3D graphic
• 2.2 – key components of a hydropower station
• 2.4 and 2.5 – equipment drawings (turbines)
• 3.4 – water balancing services graphic
• 5.1 – renewable energy mini-globe illustration
• 6.3.1 – greenhouse gas flowchart with icons
Upon agreeing the job we can send our brand guidelines which includes fonts and colour palette. In terms of look and feel we want it to be elegant, professional and vibrant.
If you feel you can do one part of the job but not the other, please feel free to propose for one part.
Please include relevant samples of your work in your proposal.
Note our initial deadline is the end of next week, and then there will be a further week for review and amends.
Many thanks,
Alex
Target audience: Senior professionals in the energy sector
Ideas for the visual style: Brand guidelines will be provided. As an initial example, the look and feel of the 'Oil imports to the US' graph in the following list is not dissimilar to our desired style: http://bestdesignoptions.com/?p=17682
Preferred colors: Brand guidelines will be provided
Urls to draw inspiration from: http://bestdesignoptions.com/?p=17682
Where the design will be used: In presentation slides used by a leading international development bank
Extra notes:
