Tattoo design

Hi all,

So this is a special request, being that this will be my first tattoo. I have finally set my mind on a theme that I feel committed to and need someone far more skilled than myself to help me brainstorm and finally finalise a design that I can have permanently inked on my inner forearm - no pressure at all - one hopes.

My original idea and 3 important factors of my tattoo will be a half moon, a cat and a tree - and I'd like to come up with a way to creatively combine the three. How I combine these three ideas is the open ended part and the part I'd be happy to brainstorm and take suggestions in. I had my mind set on a black cat or silhouette of a cat, standing on a half moon, tree branches attached to/holding up the moon. My second idea was to have a tree entirely make up the image of the cat and moon with the branches. I'm not entirely sure of how I'd like to detail either of my ideas, or even if a splash of colour would improve things. I'd ideally like the design to remain simplistic yet original - if that makes sense at all.
