I'm looking for an experienced realistic comic book / sequential artist to work on a character-driven graphic novel.
The story focuses on realistic human interaction, emotional storytelling, and believable character acting rather than action scenes. I'm looking for an artist who can consistently draw realistic anatomy, facial expressions, body language, and environments while maintaining strong visual storytelling across multiple pages.
The first task will be a paid sample page. This sample is intended to assess your storytelling ability, character consistency, panel composition, and overall suitability for the project. If the sample meets the required standard, there is potential for ongoing work on the full graphic novel.
What I'm looking for:
Strong experience with sequential comic pages
Realistic anatomy and natural body language
Excellent facial expressions and character acting
Consistent character design across panels
Good understanding of pacing, composition, and visual storytelling
Ability to follow a detailed storyboard and art direction
Please include with your proposal:
Examples of sequential comic pages (not just single illustrations)
Your rate for one finished sample page
Estimated turnaround time
Any experience working on graphic novels or comic books
The selected artist will receive a detailed storyboard, panel breakdown, and production notes before starting the sample page.

Hi Olaniyan, thank you for the invitation! A few questions:
1) Do you have any examples of the art styles you prefer?
2) What level of finish do you want? Rustic black and white penciled? Black and white inked? Full colour on either?
3) [optional] What price range for the test page are you wanting? Considering the answers to above questions. Is it the 700GBP you've set as a fixed price, or...?
As a sequential artist that's usually character interaction focused for a few movies, tv shows and AAA game cinematics, plus some short comics - I may be a perfect choice for you, but would want to know more before submitting a Proposal.
