Wyolene Horton
1957-2021
A Glimpse of Her Life
Wyolene Horton was born on September 25, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia to Lawrence and Irene Murphy. She attended and graduated from C.L. Harper High School in 1975, and from there, she went to the University of West Georgia College. On June 24, 1979, Arthur Horton and Wyolene Murphy became united as one in marriage. In 1980, she started working in The U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she was presently working as a Section Chief Budget Execution Enforcement. Later, she also went to school and became a Certified Herbalist in 2013. On July 8, 1989, Arthur and Wyolene dedicated their lives to Jehovah God and were baptized. Together, they faithfully served as Jehovah’s Witnesses in the West College Park Congregation until she fell asleep in death on September 4, 2021. She set a wonderful example spiritually for her children and grandchildren, by regular pioneering and serving where the need is greater. She also enjoyed exploring different business ventures with family and friends. She always took the time to talk with anyone who needed her assistance. She loved life, family, and she loved to dance.
Wyolene’s father, Lawerence Murphy of Atlanta, Georgia, preceded her in death. One brother, Calvin Murphy of Atlanta, Georgia, preceded her in death. Wyolene leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Arthur Horton, and 3 sons: Anthony Horton (Demisa), Emeth Horton, Sean Horton. She also leaves behind her mother, Irene Murphy, 5 brothers and one sister: Aurelius Murphy (Deborah), Charles Murphy, Jerold Murphy, Darryl Murphy (Cassandra), Antoine Murphy, Deborah Murphy; 9 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Song 151 Song 18
He Will Call Grateful for the RansomLife, like a mist, appears for just a day, Then disappears tomorrow. All that we are can quickly fade away, Replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made: (CHORUS) He will call; The dead will answer. They will live at his command. For he will have a longing For the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, For our God can make us stand. And we will live forever, As the work of his own hand.
2.Friends of our God, though they may pass away, Will never be forsaken. All those asleep who in God’s mem’ry stay, From death he will awaken. Then we’ll come to see all that life can be: Paradise eternally.
(CHORUS) Today, Jehovah God, we stand before your throne, For you showed the greatest love that could ever be shown. You gave the gift of your dear Son, that we might live. No greater sacrifice than this could you ever give. (CHORUS) He gave his life to set us free. His precious blood provides the key. With all our hearts, we’ll go on thanking you eternally.
2.It was a willing sacrifice that Jesus made. Out of love, his perfect life was the price that he paid. We had no hope until he came to save mankind. But now our hope is finding life, leaving death behind. (CHORUS)
