Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Hi,
We're currently renovating our loft which was converted into 2 rooms many years ago. As part of the renovation, the rooms have been stripped right back and, upon seeing the blank canvas, we've been inspired into thinking about redesigning the whole space.
We're after a designer who will help us design the space, within the existing structure, so that we can instruct our builders on the remaining work. We are somewhat time bound so would need someone who can start immediately and propose designs (including time for us to input) within a week. We will make ourselves available as much as you need during that time.
We're aafter a special design to really make the most of the loft and to make things look really good. Things that we would like from the space:
- Double bedroom
- Office + gaming area, including space for a computer, storage, a TV and a couch
- Modern farmhouse style (or something close to)
- Lots of light
- Storage space
We’re open to the idea of having 1 or 2 rooms, as long as there is at least a partial divide to offer privacy to the bedroom if you opt for an open/single room.
We also want to make sure that the design is achievable, we’ve seen many fantastic designs and wondered where on earth people could source the interiors or what artisan craftsmen would be needed to construct the custom units – we’re happy to spend on the interiors and have an experienced joiner on hand to work with.
In terms of deliverables, we'd like to see a drawn and rendered design with interiors, a source list for as many of the interiors as possible, as well as an outline drawing with measurements that we can pass straight on to the builders for any construction type work.
As part of the design process, please outline your approach and, in particular, how much consultation we will have – we’d like the opportunity to discuss the design in stages and feedback any changes we can think of. Additionally, if you can provide design options at the stages then that would be a bonus to us.
I’ve put together some measurements which I hope you’ll find useful in speeding things along (all measurements in cm), as well as some photos of the space in its current state (literally a building site).
If you enquire, please include some relevant links or attachments to any relevant/similar work you've done, the last couple of times we've used PPH we've had many many responses and it will help us to quickly compare and decide on freelancers.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
