Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
I’m looking for a designer to create two clean, professional web banners for an advertising placement on a well-known UK fire service publication website (UK Fire Magazine) https://ukfiremag.co.uk/.
A bit about us:
I run the UK Firefighter Hub, which has grown into the UK’s leading online firefighter community and media platform. We reach a highly engaged audience of aspiring, serving and retired firefighters, as well as fire service enthusiasts. The Hub is built around pride, professionalism and representing the very best of the UK Fire & Rescue Service.
Our content spans behind-the-scenes documentaries, operational discussions, career support and community engagement. The brand message is simple: we’re with firefighters at every stage of the journey.
What I need:
Two banner designs that are eye-catching but not cluttered. They should feel professional, credible and authentic to the UK fire service. Avoid anything overly flashy or gimmicky. Strong, clean visuals are key.
Creative direction:
- Reflect pride in the British Fire & Rescue Service
- Use strong, impactful imagery (firefighters, appliances, real moments)
- Keep the design simple and easy to read at a glance
- Include a clear call to action, such as: “Join the Hub”
- Must feel trustworthy and aligned with a professional audience
Placement reference:
The banners will appear alongside others on this page, so please review existing styles to ensure it stands out while still fitting the space:
https://ukfiremag.co.uk/
Banner sizes required:
Website side banner: 370px (w) x 100px (h) – JPEG
E-news banner: 600px (w) x 85px (h) – JPEG
I can provide logos, brand assets and example imagery. I’m also happy to collaborate on ideas, but I want someone who can bring creative input and deliver something that really represents the quality and credibility of the platform.

Hi Spencer, can you please tell if you already have preferred imagery (firefighters/appliances) for the banners or should I source and curate high-impact visuals aligned with UK fire service branding?
