Experience Level: Intermediate
I need a book cover. I have ideas for the front based on a digital photo I have that matches a scene in the book. The spine and back cover are totally open. I want your ideas though too. Mine might just suck. I'm an author not an artist! :)

Also, I have three maps I have drawn that need a professional touch up if you talent for line art. It could be also just digital work since my handwriting is worse than my six year old twins.

Attached is a photo of the basis for the cover.

    Hi Michael,
    Just a few quick questions so I can bid....do you want the actual photo you supplied to be used or do you want a similar image created? Also, what is your budget & deadline for this & can you show a sample of the maps (& how many are there)?

    Since I can't seem to get the photographer (he's Malaysian) to answer whether I can purchase the photo, I think we can assume we need to use it as a basis for the cover and do a digital remake. The colors are perfect though. If you take the job I could send you that scene from the book and you could read it for some inspiration. I have lots of drawings of various things in the book that can help you.

    Budget: Unknown. I need a good cover but I have no idea the number of hours. I'm hoping around the $400-$500 range. I have one published interested but they are a boutique and I don't think we'll come to terms. So probably going to be self published.

    Maps, I'll upload those today. I don't know how to use the website yet, but expect them soon.
