Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am organising a Pathfinder Camporee in Australia with over 3500 people in attendance. For our opening ceremony we are wanting a short cartoon/animation in 2D that appeals to 10-16 yearolds. The opening ceremony will introduce the theme for the entire Camporee "Unstoppable." Unstoppable relates to the idea that the story of Jesus is unstoppable.
The Scene begins with the Apostle Paul (1st Century AD) writing letters while under house arrest in Rome. The Key theme of this letter is "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God to bring salvation to everyone that believes."
After writing this letter Paul then rolls the scroll and delivers it to a messenger who is on horse back. The messenger then gallops away to share this good news with others.
As the messenger is galloping on the horse to deliver this special message, people try to stop him. At first it is some of the Jewish Religious Leaders, but the Messenger gets away. As he continues to deliver this message He is faced with persecution by the Romans - soldiers are looking for Him - but he still manages to get away
As the messenger continues to run away from those trying to stop him delivering this message - while in full gallop the scenes begin to time-lapse through events of history which happen short and sharp in the background. nothing can stop this message as it is unstoppable. Events of history include
- Roman persecutions
- people hiding in the caves of Italy reading this letter while christian church leaders try to stop people reading the Bible
- Christian reformation
- modern enlightenment
- Major wars of modern history
The time lapse then come to 2019 on a beach in NSW Australia and as enemies try to catch him he seeks refuge in a cave along the beach where he hides the letter.
