Hi - I'm looking for someone who can design two images for me:
1) We are looking for an image that can describe our family "adventure" during 2020 lockdown. This will be printed onto a "lockdown time capsule" box (using decal slide paper). The illustration should have my wife, little boy (7), little girl (3) and I as central characters, but surrounded by little images of some of the things we've managed to do while at home on our "staycations" and also generally. For instance, we have visited the Loch Lomond Faerie Trail (https://www.lochlomondfaerietrail.com/), visited lots of playparks, ridden our bikes, raised two families of butterflies (https://www.insectlore.co.uk/butterflies/live-butterfly-kits.html) and baked a lot! I am happy to provide relevant images where available.
2) A single image that can be used as part of my personal stationary for the kids. Quite often, they ask a question at bedtime and I'm trying to encourage them not to use phones etc at that time of night (enough during the day!). So I'll find out the answer and leave them a little post it note with that and some other pearl of wisdom from me! I'd like to print little cards in the style of "From the brain of Dad", so that these little messages are a bit more personal. I envisage a cute image with my head and lots of things swirling round it (think of the types of amazing questions kids ask about everything from the mundane to the fantastic - last night it was "what's faster, a lion or a panther" and the night before "how many earths could you fit in the sun"). I want to capture the kind of awe inspiring questions kids ask.
In terms of style, I'm looking for cute, with a good balance of detail but not supposed to be photorealistic. I favour a watercolour/digital watercolour style, but also not too "cartoony". Tasteful and not too garish is really what I'm after. I unfortunately don't have a baseline for this other than the illustrations on products from this person (https://thisisnessie.com/product/chopping-boards/original-welly-boots/) - we have the Welly boots chopping board and really like the style, but the range is only inanimate objects, so I can't point to how a person would be rendered.
I'd like the final artwork to be provided as high resolution files big enough to print A4 at hi-res.
Hope that makes sense. Happy to try and elaborate further!
