Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
We are looking for 'basic' elevation and plan drawings to be created for a planning condition, which is to create the following:
1. 9 secure and covered cycle parking spaces
2. Refuse and recycling storage
The drawings must show the design from 2 elevations, front and side, with a plan drawing showing the internal design and layouts.
**Cycle Store**
Our aim for the 9 cycle spaces is to create a cycle store, with 6ft timber fencing surround with a simple timber gate as access (with a lockable coded shoot-bolt, as it must be lockable), and covered with a plastic corrugated roof, with timber framework.
We are looking to remove the existing timber fencing and posts that is in place on the concrete slab and use the existing fence to the rear of the area as the rear ‘wall’ of the cycle store, as well as the existing brickwork wall of the property (shown on the right), as the other wall, in order to keep the costs down.
We will then need to erect a fencing surround to the left hand side and to the front, with a timber gate on the front to allow access, using 6ft close board fencing (or similar) with timber posts.
I have attached photos and dimensions of the different sizes of cycle racks that we can use, and as long as there are 9 cycle spaces within the area, and they are well positioned to allow access, the design should be sufficient.
This is just my initial idea about what would work, but we are open to ideas on the design, providing that it meets the requirement of 9 cycle spaces in the area, comfortably.
**Refuse and recycling store **
Our aim for the refuse and recycling store to the side of the property is to allow for the current 4 x 360L bins to be stored in a suitable location.
The existing set up to the side of the property is just an area for them to be stored. We are considering a very basic design of 5ft Closeboard timber fencing with timber posts on either side, projecting by up to 1.5m out from the wall, with a corrugated plastic roof to cover the area, and a double timber gate to the front, secured with a lockable combination lock, as per the cycle store.
Again, we are open to design ideas, however we are looking to keep this design minimal and low cost, but cover the minimum requirements set out by the council.
***All photos and dimensions of the existing set-up is on the dropbox link below – I have also attached photos of examples I have mentioned within the spec above***
