Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
This project entails developing a professional set of blueprints from a complete set of hand drawn house plans. The plans are for a single family residence to be built in Palm Beach County, Florida, USA. Square footage information is shown on the floor plans. The plans have been drawn on graph paper at a 1/8th inch scale and will need to be converted to a 1/4 inch scale. Site Plan and Land Clearing plans are drawn at 1/16th inch scale and will need to be converted to 1/8th inch scale. The hand drawings also include cross sections and details of certain features that are already drawn to the appropriate scales and require no scale conversion. Plans should include page borders title blocks, etc. and arranged to be printable on 36 x 42 inch paper. Following is a list of all hand drawn sheets (sample pictures attached):
1. Floor Plan - 1st Floor (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
2. Floor Plan - 2nd Floor (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
3. Foundation Plan (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
4. Column & Beam Plan (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
5. Roof Truss Plan (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
6. Electrical Plan - 1st Floor (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
7. Electrical Plan - 2nd Floor (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
8. HVAC Plan (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
9. Plumbing Riser (Not to Scale)
10. Front Elevation and Right Elevation (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
11. Rear Elevation and Left Elevation (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
12. Cross Sections (Drawn @ 1/8", Convert to 1/4")
13. Typical Wall Sections (Scale as drawn)
14. Various Section Details (Scale as drawn)
15. Bonus Room Dormers Framing Detail (Scale as drawn)
16. Front Dormers Framing Details (Scale as drawn)
17. Balcony Section and Porch Column Section (Scale as drawn)
18. Stairs Section (Scale as drawn)
19. Site Plan (Drawn @ 1/16", Convert to 1/8")
20. Land Clearing and Fill Plan (Drawn @ 1/16", Convert to 1/8")
21. Electric Load Calc & Panel (Include on Electrical Plan, page 6, if possible)
22. Schedule of Lintels & Wood Headers (Include on Col & Beam Plan, Page 4, if possible)
Since pages 13 through 18 are already drawn to scale, elements on these pages may be combined together to fill up the 36 x 42 size sheets. (I wanted to attach all pages but this website limits uploads to only 3 samples.) You may view all pages at the "wetransfer.com" website by typing or pasting the following link into you web browser: https://we.tl/9nxdSBocyB
The selected respondent will be provided electronic files of all pages in PDF format to facilitate with tracing or converting into a vector type file format. CAD drawings must be completed in DWG format (AutoCad). Due to difficulty with precision in hand drawing to a 1/8 inch scale, the drawing scale may not be exact and CAD drawings scale should reflect the stated dimensions on the drawings in cases of scale discrepancies. If you plan to convert the PDF's to CAD using a software program, such as Scan2Cad, the resulting drawings should be edited and "cleaned up" as needed. The deliverable will be the electronic CAD file which I can take to the blueprint shop to print the paper blueprints. The deliverable will also include providing electronic PDF files of the blueprints. Revision are anticipated to be needed after engineering review, but these edits are not included in the scope of this project.
This is a fixed price project. Respondents should provide the following information in their proposals:
• Credentials and experience in doing this type of work.
• Proposed methodology for developing the CAD files (e.g. Import PDF and trace into CAD, Convert PDF to CAD using software such as Scan2Cad or similar software and edit as needed, etc).
• Time frame for completing the project.
• Fixed price proposal.
Proposal selection will be based on considering all the above factors. I look forward to receiving your proposals. Thank you for considering my project.
