Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hello,
I have a contract to design and draw the structural work required for a house renovation. The client has provided dimensioned hand drawn pdfs and I am looking for somebody to produce a 2d CAD model of walls and floors. I will add the engineering component to the CAD model before creating the drawings to be issued.
I have guessed the budget as I don't know what draughtsmen/women are charging nowadays, I've been doing my own drawings for very a long time. I would like delivery within a week of instructing the work if possible but could stretch to ten days for the right person.
The drawings are all in the attached pfd. Please note that the drawings are dimensioned in cm but the model should be drawn in mm. For your reference:
- Pages 1 and 2 show the ground and first floor plans.
- The section on page 3 shows the heights. These supersede the heights shown on the plans.
- Pages 4 and 5 show a plan of the basement split over two pages; the west side on page and the east side.
- Page 6 shows sections through the east side of the basement, an east-west section is above a north-south section.
- Page 7 shows a typical flight of stairs.
- Pages 8 to 10 show the room layouts. These are included for the stair locations only, although they may be useful in the event of a query.
- Page 11 shows the elevations. The elevations are superseded but it close to the final requirements and might help to visualise the elevations before drawing them. Pages 1 to 5 take precedence.
- page 12 shows the area of the basement in relation to the superstructure.
The deliverable would be a CAD file containing accurate 2d models of:
1. Plans of the basement, ground floor and first floor.
2. Elevations of the external superstructure walls, floors to be shown dotted.
3. Elevations of the perimeter basement walls.
4. A north-south section through the pool.
4. An east-west section through the pool taken 4m from the north end.
The models do not need any dimensions, notations or fittings/ furniture (sinks tables etc.) adding.
If you use TurboCad (as I do) then the CAD file can be in .tcw format, otherwise it is to be in.dxf and .dwg formats. Occasionally there can be issues transferring files depending on the software versions and how the drawing is undertaken; if the supplied CAD file is incompatible with my software you may need to resend in a few different formats until we find a file that will load satisfactorily.
I would like build a long term relationship with a draughtsman/woman and outsource more work of this type to the right drafty, i.e. a drafty that is accurate, reliable and reasonably priced.
Thanks,
Tim
