Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are working on a project for our client to install fixed tensile window canopies at a hotel.
I will send the following:
- Completed CAD file, detailing a 2D visual of the external area of the building.
- Photographs of two different style canopy options being presented to the client
- An image file to show the hotel branding which must be placed on the canopy.
- an image file giving the brand colour for sampling
- photos of actual hotel exterior
- example of finished piece
Task
Step 1
Draw (in CAD) two canopies from photograph examples
Step 2
Overlay onto the new CAD canopy drawing in the correct dimensions for each window.
Step 2
Colour the canopies using the branding color orange.
Step 3
Apply the hotel’s brand to.the canopies.
The result will be two alternate drawings of the hotel showing the two canopy style options at each window.
To finish
I would like to simplify our presentation drawings, and suggest limiting the visual presentation of the hotel's exterior to the first few floors, including the ground floor and the canopies. Currently, the CAD files are too detailed to use as is.
Final steps
Step 1
Bring the images to life by making them 3 dimensional (if practical to do so, within timeframe available) using the provided photographs as a guide.
Step 2
Process them using CAD add-on software to create pencil or sketch drawings from.them.
Step 3
Add add complementary visuals like trees, people, and pavement to bring the hotel to life.
Final Expected Outcome.
A 2d or 3d black (time permitting) and white pencil drawing, featuring the ground floor up to no more than the second floor. Option 1) The only colour to be shown will be that of the canopies only. I have given an example which was created here from a.photograph on a mobile app. Option 2) I may introduce further colour from planted window boxes and trees.
