Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
looking for 2 documents - an Elevation Drawing and a little more complex 3D overview of the inside and outside of the building-. please note it's the same building in each document
1) Elevation drawing
Request for a front and side elevation. To assist, I've attached the front and side of an existing building of almost the same type and size. (Pictures 1 & 2)
Dimensions
Total Width 18 m
Total Length 24 m
Eaves Height 3 m
Ridge Height 4.742 m
PA Doors
1 X Double Steel Security Doors Opening outwards, This double door to be at the front of the building just off centre
2 X Heavy Duty Steel Fire Exit Door 980mm x 2075mm Opening outwards
These two doors to be on the left side wall approx 8 and 12 metres
Windows
2 X Anthracite Aluminium 1800mm x 1000mm Glass Type: 28mm – 4mm clear,
Situated one each side of the building at approx 6 metres . At height of 3 metres (non -opening specifically for natural light )
On the front of the building, there will be 2 x Portacabins, either side of the front double doors
one is 20 feet (6,055m x 2,435m x 2,591m (L x W x H)) and the other will be 32 feet (9.76 m). They should be shown either side of the front double doors, which will be offset to match (Picture 3)
between the two portacabins, show a covered porch (similar to Picture 4 ) extending the full 2.435 metres
The 2 portacabins will be timber clad, so show the building front also timber clad up from 2.6 metres to the 4.742 metre central ridge, so the whole front appears timber clad
2) 3D overview (see Drawing1 for 2 x pdf rough visio )
building is 24 metres x 18 meters x 3 metres high
there is a daycare area in yellow - approx 12 m long x 16 m
• will have a double door entry from the front
• two fire doors on the left side from the front (6 & 11 m
• one door into the kennel area (this may change in position)
• breeze block walls separating the kennel and baycare areas - 2.5 metres high
• you need not put any other detail initially for the daycare or externally front and left side
the kennel area internally - around 60% of the space
14 kennel sleeping areas (1.5 x 1.5 mtrs) along the long side
o then in the back right corner - 3 family kennels
o each has a glass door (2foot 6 inches) opening inward
o the internal walls are shared with the next kennel (double sided)
o corridor between the glass doors and the solid wall
o walls are 2 metres high
10 kennel sleeping areas (1.5 x 1.5 mtrs) along back wall
o the internal walls are shared with the next kennel (double sided)
o each has a glass door (2foot 6 inches) opening inwards
o walls are 2 m
3 family sized kennels in the corner -
o the internal facing glass doors will be closer together than the ones on the side and wall, probably almost touching
o the 3 family kennels take up 33% more space than a normal 1.5 x 1.5 sleeping
o each has a glass door (2foot 6 inches) opening inward
o all walls are 2 metres high and double sided
o you should try and make each sleeping area the same size overal
• there is a corridor between the glass doors and back of the central block of kennels
In the middle of the kennel area there are 6 smaller kennels
o each are 1.5 x 1.5 sleeping area but just 1.5 x 1.2 exercise area as well
o This means they are 1.5 x 2.7 metres each
o 2.7 metres x 9 metres the bloc
o on all 4 sides of this block there need to be 1.2 metres of clear space
o However, we may put lockers / storage directly on the back and sides of this block
o from the front of the locker storage there must be 1.2 metres of clear space for access
on the back wall of daycare / where the door is situated, please put a row of kitchen units, upright fridges / freezers for the whole 15 metre length of the wall apart from the door
The kennels externally
• at the back of each of the 27 kennels touching the external wall
• 24 the same and 3 family kennels in the corner slightly bigger
• the 24 normal ones have
o a vertically raised dog-sized flap from sleeping area (inside) to exercise run (outside)
o these flaps will be automated so each or all can be lowered or raised
o there will be a 1.5 wide x 6 metre long exercise run made out of 6 foot high wire fencing
o 50% of the run will have a roof of UPVC impervious material and be rain proof
o there will be a wire gate (garden type) at the end of each run - to allow access for both dog and staff
o there will therefore be a further secure fence encompassing the ends of all the outdoor runs to prevent accidental escape
o this with 3 gates at either end and in the middle to a larger exercise area
o The further fence should provide a 1.5 metre corridor all around
The 3 family runs will be bigger (33% bigger) - 12 square metres appr
o Again 50% of each run to have a roof
o you will need to 'adjust' the drawing to make each 12 sq. metres, but it need not be exact
o the dog-flaps will need to match the 3 off-centre sleeping areas
if any details on my rough drawings (drawing1) do not match the details above, go with the details above
