A digital file is required to produce cut letters from plywood using a computer numeric control (CNC) machine. An architecture firm previously provided a file format that is incompatible with opening on standard desktop software. Assistance is needed to convert the design file into a format readable by CNC routing machines on short notice. The goal is to cut several alphabet letters from plywood sheets to a client's specifications. Expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD or similar platforms is required to deconstruct the existing file, interpret the geometry and text, then reconstruct the information into a digital fabrication (DFX) format compatible with CNC routers. The freelancer will work independently to analyze, edit and output the converted file within a tight deadline to keep the client project on schedule. Strong technical and software skills are essential to complete this task efficiently and ensure the CNC operator receives accurate dimensions and placement instructions for cutting. Remuneration will be provided upon timely delivery of a functional DFX file meeting the design requirements.
