Paperback & Kindle Book Formatter Needed

Summary
We are a fast-growing publishing company looking for a skilled book formatter who can take completed manuscripts and turn them into clean, professional, reader-friendly interiors. You will be working on multiple nonfiction books.

Your role will be to format the interior for print and digital versions using any formatting tools like: Canva, Vellum, Indesign or Atticus. You should be comfortable receiving a finished manuscript and delivering polished, properly formatted, ready-to-upload files.

Responsibilities:
• Format nonfiction manuscripts for paperback and/or Kindle based on our SOP
• Create clean, organized, and visually appealing interior layouts
• Ensure consistent fonts, spacing, headings, and design throughout
• Follow trim sizes, bleed requirements, and export specifications (KDP, Ingram, etc.)
• Deliver final files in required formats (PDF, EPUB, etc.)
• Communicate effectively and meet deadlines

Requirements:
• Proven experience formatting books for print + digital (Amazon KDP experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Canva, Vellum, or Atticus (any accepted)
• Strong attention to detail and layout consistency
• Ability to follow SOPs and implement preset templates
• Experience with nonfiction formatting is a plus
• Reliable + able to turn around projects quickly

Nice to Have (but not required):
• Basic design skills for interior graphics or workbooks
• Experience working with checklists, tables, or workbooks

Compensation:
• Rate will be $60-$100 per manuscript based on complexity
