Layout Designer for Premium Children's Christmas Product
We're looking for an experienced graphic/print layout designer to production-design a premium personalised Christmas adventure for children aged approximately 5–8.
The product concept, written content, gameplay and creative direction have already been developed.
Illustrations will be supplied separately.
We need someone who can transform the supplied content and artwork into a cohesive, professional, print-ready product system.
The project includes materials such as:
personalised letters
envelopes
mission/activity cards
clue and evidence cards
puzzles
children's credentials/cards
certificates
maps
parent instruction sheets
small cut-out components
The aesthetic is a premium, magical North Pole/Christmas world, with visual references supplied to the successful applicant.
This should feel like a professionally published children's product rather than a generic downloadable activity pack.
Key responsibilities
You'll be responsible for:
page and card layout
typography
information hierarchy
consistent visual system
integrating supplied illustrations
print preparation
reusable templates
personalisation fields
home-print and professional-print considerations
Some text elements will contain variables such as a child's first name, so layouts need to accommodate editable personalisation fields.
Print experience required
You should be comfortable producing:
A4/A5 layouts
smaller cards/components
3mm bleed where required
safe areas
trim/cut lines
300dpi artwork
print-ready PDFs
editable source files
home-print-friendly versions
Initial paid trial
We'd like to begin with one small section of the product to establish the visual system before commissioning the full project.
The trial will involve approximately 6–8 related layouts, with all copy, artwork requirements and creative references supplied.
Successful completion can lead directly to the remaining product design.
