NUMBER OF TITLES IN THE SERIES
- 9 at the start, more to follow

COVER ILLUSTRATIONS & STYLE
- A FULL COLOUR cover illustration for each book
- The cover illustrations are to go across the front cover, spine & back cover
- The style of the cover illustration must reflect the style of the interior illustrations
- A CONSISTENT design concept for the series as a whole, to be applied across each of the titles
- The design must allow for the fact that more titles will be added in the future

INTERIOR DESIGN & LAYOUT
- You will liaise with myself and the illustrator to develop an interior layout for the book
- Placement of illustrations (provided by our illustrator) at the appropriate places throughout the book
- Ensure a seamless interior design & page layout aesthetic where words and illustrations flow seamlessly & beautifully together
- Choice of a suitable font for the interior - must be readable and appropriate for children in the target age group (7-12 years old) and go well with the illustrations
- Beautiful typography for the titles on the cover

BOOK SPECIFICATIONS
- TARGET AGE GROUP: Children 7 - 12 years old
- BOOK DIMENSIONS: 129 mm (Width) x 198 mm (Height)
- BINDING: Paperback
- COVER: Paper stock & finish (matt/gloss) - to be decided
- PAPER STOCK: to be decided
- SPINE: To be confirmed when we know the final page count of each book and the paper stock

DELIVERY
- We will all liaise (myself, the book designer and printer) as to the required file formats and image resolution for both the book jackets and the book interior.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Children 7 - 12 years old

IDEAS FOR THE VISUAL STYLE OF THE COVERS:
- Loose, lively, expressive, quirky, fluid, hand-drawn style.
