Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
Primary goal: Have a design able to be distributed to manufactures to create large volumes. The design is based around worm screw pipe clamps but the design itself will be custom and will include the refining of current drawings and prototype track designs to create a track for a smaller profile worm screw.

Secondary goal: Presentable 3D design showing full function of product for potential buyers

    What is the target tightening torque and minimum clamp load requirement for the final product?
    That requirement will largely determine the optimal worm geometry, engagement depth, material selection, and manufacturing tolerances.
