Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a high-accuracy 3D CAD model of a custom sculptural table base, based on a physical cardboard prototype (photos provided) and a PDF outline drawing (freehand sketch).
This model will be used for CNC cutting, so the geometry must be precise, symmetrical, and production-ready.
You will be required to:
- Recreate the full table base as a clean, accurate 3D model using the provided PDF profile and prototype photographs.
- Convert the freehand PDF into a proper CAD spline/curve, ensuring perfect symmetry on the left and right sides.
- Smooth all curves, remove distortions from hand drawing, and ensure the form is geometrically balanced.
- Model the upper plate and bottom plate to the exact dimensions (provided separately in comments/messages).
- Produce a model suitable for CNC fabrication (metal cutting, welding, and assembly).
- Ensure all transitions are smooth and manufacturable — no twisted surfaces or broken curves.
Critical Requirement: Symmetry
The provided PDF drawing is freehand and not perfectly symmetrical.
- Mirror-check the left/right curves
- Correct uneven or unintentional distortions
- Rebuild curves as clean splines
- Produce a final form that is fully symmetrical in elevation, while matching the intended silhouette
- Verify symmetry across the central axis before final delivery
This is extremely important because the final model will be CNC-cut and assembled in metal. Any asymmetry will affect fabrication quality.
