Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
We’re looking for an experienced 3D artist who can advise us on industry standards. Someone who can advise us on what the possibilities are within our budgets. We’ve various projects ready to be picked up. Looking for a long-term partner who knows how to set up a 3D framework.
Rigged Models
All models within the framework should be rigged. There has to be an easy way to add new movements based on actual motion captured footage. There has to be a way to have smooth transitions between the various animations. We’re looking into tools like ActorCore and Mixamo. Facial expressions would be very nice, but it’s not a priority right now.
We would like to base all our models on top of one standard model which is leading in the industry.
Realistic models
The more realistic the models look, the better. But for the first few projects it isn’t crucial, but we want to keep the possibility open to switch to more realistic models for future projects. Including things like physics, hair, clothing, etc.
Environments
We don’t need custom environments yet, but it needs to be possible to place the models in existing environments easily.

There are various software that will allow mocap data to be loaded onto a bipedal character. They generally come as an all in one 3d software. Mixamo can output individual mocap sequences which you can stitch together, but would need a DCC software like 3dsmax to do this in. On its own Mixamo will not be much help.
Actorcore will be able to import purchased or free mocap files, but one of your team would have to learn the software to do this.
