Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
We are developing a trivia-based mobile game app in Unity. It will feature various characters from the bible and users have to answer questions in order to progress. All graphics, artwork and UI elements in the game mimic a comic-book Marvel style.
- The artist will be provided with existing 2D illustrations of two characters (see attached).
- Their task will be to convert those 2D illustrations into 3D models for use in our Unity-based mobile app.
- Finished 3D models must resemble the comic-book style of the original 2D illustrations as much as possible. Cel-shading or an equivalent technique may be used to achieve this effect. The original colours and the black ink lines must be replicated as closely as possible.
- Each model should possess basic animation for a standing position (i.e. slight breathing motion, slight swaying of shoulders, etc). Any long robes must gently “sway in the wind” while they stand still, as suggested in the illustrations.
- Each model will also require two 'action' animations: 1. An expression of joy if the user gets the question right. 2. An expression of sadness/disappointment if the user gets the question wrong.
NOTES:
- We are not looking for photo-realistic adaptations, neither "cartoony" models in a Toy Story style (much as we love Toy Story). Good references would be the Naruto PS3 games, Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, and the Telltale games.
DELIVERY AND PAYMENT:
- Each model to be delivered in full colour/render, "comic-style" and a format compatible with Unity.
- We are looking to spend up to £275 per a model.
- More examples can be provided via workstream messaging.
DEADLINES:
We would like to have the first model completed in the next 3 weeks, with the second model complete by the end of March.
