We are a UK-based online booking service allowing householders to book electricians and plumbers. We are looking for a fluent English speaker to assist customers over the telephone and using live chat tools.
We need someone who is friendly, enthusiastic and with a confident and reassuring telephone manner. Some experience or knowledge of home maintenance would be useful. As a minimum, you should be familiar with common electrical and plumbing terminology that a householder would use in the UK.
Your aim will be to guide customers to complete their online booking by answering any questions they might have.
We operate a small team, all working remotely. There are three of us UK, three in Ukraine and one in Indonesia. We run a fast-growing start-up, funded by professional investors. One of our co-founders has built a similar business in the past which grew to multimillion-pounds turnover.
Requirements:
- Fluent written and spoken English. If you are not a native speaker, your accent needs to be flawless.
- Fast, accurate typing, spelling and punctuation for live chat.
- Available during afternoon and evening UK time. We are looking for cover approx 2pm to 10pm each day, but we’ll likely recruit more than one person to cover different shifts and days.
- Have a reliable broadband connection and be able to take VOIP calls without any background noise.
- Be patient and friendly and super-helpful (even if the customer is being unreasonable and unfriendly and rude)
- Be reliable and available during the hours we agree with you
- Be proactive and embrace continuous improvement. We’ll want to hear from you about how your job can be improved.
- Have a “sales” attitude, without being pushy: your job is to get the customer to be happy to complete their booking online (or for you to do it for them over the phone)
Duties:
- Answering IM messages super-fast (we use intercom for this)
- Answering telephone calls from customers during the booking process
- Assisting the customer with their booking, or actually taking their details over the phone and booking it for them if necessary
Pay c.£7 / hour, but negotiable for the right person.
