UK Chartered Tax Expert Required: Urgent Review of Corporation Tax Filing
I am seeking a highly experienced UK-qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW/ACC) or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) to perform an urgent "second opinion" review of a draft CT600 for a UK Limited Company for the financial year ending 31 May 2025.
Our current draft, prepared by an accounting technician, shows a significant Corporation Tax liability that I believe has not been optimised for available reliefs.
Specific areas requiring review:
• Capital Allowances & Full Expensing: We have high hardware and technology expenditure during this period. The current draft appears to disallow a five-figure depreciation amount while only claiming a negligible amount in capital allowances. I need a specialist to ensure "Full Expensing" (100% relief) is correctly applied to all qualifying tech purchases.
• Marginal Relief Optimisation: The return currently shows zero marginal relief despite profits appearing to fall within the relevant thresholds. I need a review of the "Associated Company" rules regarding a second entity to determine if we can restore the full thresholds.
• R&D Tax Credits: We have invested in custom e-commerce and digital platform development. I need an assessment of whether these costs qualify for SME R&D relief, as this is currently omitted from the return.
• Group Relief: Evaluating if trading losses from a second company can be utilised to offset this liability.
Requirements:
• Must be UK-based with a valid practicing certificate (ACCA/ICAEW/CTA).
• Proven track record in high-level tax planning and SME relief optimisation.
• Ability to review the draft CT600 and Tax Computation immediately and provide a summary of potential adjustments.
