Someone to manage my accounts + provide advice

I run 2 small companies and would like to hire an accountant to be able to manage the following:

- VAT returns and advice
- End of year accounts
- Companies house queries
- Payroll
- Anything else that needs to be dealt with accounting
- Advising on tax situations

At this moment we hire 2 separate firms however they seem extremely expensive. Charging thousands for end of year accounts even though our operations were small and there was next to no transactions

I'd be more than happy to work remotely with someone however should the need arise then it would be great to have the option to meet - so SE England or Essex is preferable.

I understand that applicants may have set rates for certain types of work (like payroll) and that's fine. It would be good to get that as well as an hourly rate for further tasks.
