Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business:
We are a content and copywriting agency
Description of support work: We are looking for a freelance project manager to join our team and help manage one big client. The day to day role will be liaising with the office in London about the overall project and managing remote writers.
The project entails around 100 articles a month being delivered on time and sent to the client. You will brief the writers, they will then send you the work back by the deadline, you will then proofread the articles for spelling and grammar, so native or fluent English is essential. When you are happy with them, these are sent to the client.
These articles will be spread throughout the month, so 25 a week, staggering deadlines.
We anticipate this being a full-time position. The salary will be around £1300pcm
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing deadlines and the overall communication with around 5 writers. You will also be in charge of the project management tools, meaning you must be fluent in Google Drive (spreadsheets and docs specifically) and generally technology savvy. Updating information about the stage of each article and making sure the client is clear about what is happening.
You will need to remind and chase writers when it comes to deadlines, so you will have to be a naturally organised person. Saying that we are a close-knit team, even though we work remotely, so this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Extra notes: No specific qualifications are needed, but you must have experience running a project and be a confident proofreader. As we mentioned before, English as your first language is important.
Attention to detail is key. If you hate spreadsheets or talking to lots of different people in a day, this probably isn't the role for you.
As this is a remote role, you will need to have good internet. Skype calls are a daily necessity.
