Update Word Document to make the Footers populate automatically

When you open the document, you will see three sections on the top of the document called "project name", "Project Number," and "Equipment/System". Those three sections are also part of the footers in the bottom, except for the first page. I want to be able to change those sections in the future without having to update the footers in the bottom.

If you can do this, then I would also need easy to follow written instruction so that I can do it myself in the future.
