UK-Based virtual assistant order fulfilment for a publishing company

A reputable publishing company seeks a UK based person who is VERY reliable to ship out books to our customers in UK, Europe and Africa.

You will have to keep no more than 20 books in your possession at a time which you will ship to customers who ordered them. We already have distribution for USA and Asia. These books are for special order autographs by the author and thats why they cannot be sent from our standard warehouse.

Duties:
- package the books to individual customers according to our training
- research shipping/postage fees with Royal Mail
- check for shipping and tracking information to ensure books arrive
- write the message required into the book based on the customer's request
- very light shipping coordination support (training provided)


You need:
- Great hand-writing
- Reliability
- Professionalism
- Ability to take instructions (training provided it must be done a certain way)
- Very approachable attitude
- Admin skills and experience


We have pretty low volumes at the moment and don't expect the shipping requirements to exceed 10-20 books a week for you to ship.

Naturally all out of pocket expenses will be covered by us for postage, packaging etc. Because we are giving you inventory you will be responsible for keeping it safe and in a salable condition. Any damages to the inventory will have to be paid for by you. I say this now because we don't know YOU and the risk is squarely in our court by sending inventory to an unknown freelancer.
