I need two excel files merging so that spend data is visible

I have two excel files of supplier data - one has the spend data, one does not. I need the spend data - as a total for all periods unique to that supplier- to be transferred from one excel to the other. I then need a pivot summary table for each category of spend, sorted by category 1, supported, sub category 2, vendor and spend value (high to low). Any gaps or issues in the data transfer need identifying and cross-checking to find and complete with the correct total. I need this doing quickly.
