Hello!
I am working on an article and need some data from auditor reports entered into an excel spreadsheet that I have already started. All of the annual reports that you will need are attached. The spreadsheet is separated into three sections: FCPA, SECEA, and HRV. Please make a new sheet for each year of these sections, as I have already begun to do, with the appropriate data.
What needs to be done:
I have already done all of the data for FCPA and SECEA in 2014. Take the companies listed in each section and go into the 2009-2013 reports and find and enter the appropriate information (Cost, Fair Value, type [equity, debt, or investment fund], par value if a bond) for that year. Do not worry about the profit and %change columns as I will do those once I have the data. *If you cannot find the company in a specific year please put a '0' for all values but still make an entry for it.* The trickiest part will be bonds, as some will have already matured or been sold. If a bond that was listed in 2014 (ex. JP Morgan Due 7/25/2035 in SECEA 2014) is not in 2013, just put '0' for all data. If you find a new bond that existed in 2013 but not in 2014, do not make an entry for it as I am only interested in investments still existing today.
EXAMPLE -
So for HRV 2012 you would need to take the companies from HRV 2014:
African Barrick Gold Ltd.
Anglogold Ashanti Ltd.
Barrick Gold Corp
BHP Billiton Plc
Bollore SA
Cagill Inc.
Foxconn Technology
Glencore Plc
Hon Hai Precision Industry
Hyundai Engineer & Construction Co
Katanga Mining Ltd
LPP SA
PetroChina Co Ltd
Rio Tinto PLC
Vale SA
Vedanta Resources PLC
Once you have made rows for this you will need to enter the Cost, fair value, par value if bond, and due date if it is a bond. And then do the same for each year.
That's it! I hope it is pretty straightforward, but if it isn't let me know and I will try to clarify.
Please work on this for 3 hours and then stop to let me know how much you have gotten done, and how much longer you think it will take. The whole process is a lot faster if you just Ctrl + F search for the companies, but from your reviews I trust you your work will be excellent. If you think of a better way to present the data I need please do not hesitate to innovate!
Thank you,
Spencer

Note: I started FCPA 2013 already, but it needs to be completed still so please take a look at that one as well. And if it is an investment fund just put the Cost down.
