General information for the business: We need to upload data to multiple websites via CSV
Industry: Business
Description of excel work: We need to upload data to a number of websites. Each site has different requirements but much of the data is common.
What I want is the following:
To be able to paste a list of data on 1 sheet , enter the data once and then export a csv file for each site we need to upload to.
As an example, if I was selling cars I would enter a list of registration numbers and then enter data for:
Colour
Mileage
Fuel (DD)
Body Type (DD)
Make
Model
Price
Description
Items marked as DD would be from a drop down menu (the options for this would need to be easy to add / change)
Once I had entered the data I would run a macro that would produce CSV files in different formats depending on the requirements given. E.g.
Site 1 - Registration, Mileage, Price, Colour, Description
Site 2 - Registration, Price, Body Type, Fuel, Description, Price
Site 3 - Reference (which would be the registration), Details (which would be Description), Price, Fuel, Mileage.
This way we can fill out one list of (say) 20 columns, some of which will be drop down items and then generate the CSV files which will only be for a subset of all 20 columns.
Should be relatively simple - I just don't have the time to do it!
