Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a radar chart, with two different data sets plotted over each other. See attached spreadsheet for reference.
The 'base shape' sheet shows a scale from 1 to 5 as there are 5 data sets. So a symmetrical score of all 3s (or all 4s and so on), would create a perfect pentagon. I need this to be the backdrop to the radar chart.
The 'overlay' sheet, shows all the data that will make up the final score. I want the shape this data creates, to sit over the top of the pentagon.
I think what I need is a shape that plots the data from the center point, to 7 points along the edge of each surface. These 7 points must be arranged over each edge of the shape, without using the vertices. So it would seem to make sense to have each 5 data set headings (marketing, organisation, leadership, operations and finance), as a 5 out of 5, on each vertices'.
Bit complicated, so happy to jump on a Zoom/Skype or whatever, to walk through it.
PS - please don't apply for this work if you only have a rudimentary knowledge of geometry or Excel. This shape design and data set is going to be used repeatedly and the underlying work must be robust.

Hi Rob. On your list of data, Marketing has 6 datasets and Organisation has 8. The remainder have 7 each. Is there an error in the Marketing and Organisation datasets? Shouldn't they be 7 each? Cheers.
Rob S.28 Oct 2019Correct. I placed the headings in the wrong place. There are 7 in each catagory.
