Description
Experience Level: Entry
We have need of a data entry / admin clerk for the input of pricing and promotional offer data into our internal web based system to feed down to our growing estate of retail stores.
Information on price changes and upcoming promotional offers are provided to us by the symbol groups we work with in varying formats (although usually as an Excel spreadsheet). This information must be deciphered, any queries, ambiguities or corrections resolved, and the data manually entered into our own in-house web based system (for which full training will be given).
This is intended as a permanent and ongoing role for the right candidate (following a probationary/trial period).
The hours will vary from week to week but is anticipated to average 10-12/week. You will have flexibility over times worked (the hours will not be set) BUT certain data, provided weekly, must be entered on Monday mornings, and target entry dates prior to the start of each promotional period must be met.
Speed and accuracy of entry are of paramount importance. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and a generally high standard of I.T. skills is an absolute requirement. Experience in retail (and therefore an understanding of retailer promotional offers) would be beneficial.
Common sense, good communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
May lead to expansion of the role, with extra admin work in the future for the right candidate.
Preferably UK based - you must have a fast and reliable Internet connection and a headset suitable for voice calls (or a VoIP phone). An extension on our virtual PBX will be provided, along with software phone.
