I have begun a database to manage billing for a forestry / timber harvesting company. I have reached a point where it's too complex for me to progress any further. I would like to pass this on to an expert to complete (or start again). The overall aim is for the database to manage the full company accounts, cash flow and invoicing.
Batches of delivery notes come in from the haulier. These are from various jobs (forests) and from these several invoices are raised, both sales and purchase invoices. We raise self-bill invoices to pay the contractor, some customers self-bill us to pay for the timber and we invoice other customers for the sale of the timber. Ultimately, the customer - the person who owns the forest - is sent a self-bill invoice where we pay them for all of the timber harvested in one month, less the cost of harvesting and haulage. It's a fairly complex invoicing process. This is all currently done using Excel spreadsheets and there is no overall database.
I would like to have this completed as soon as possible and would welcome your help.
