Up until very recently I had been working on my own (as an employee of my own Limited company), but this is about to change as I am about to take on a business partner.
As a result, I now need to produce a shareholders agreement (with equity being drip fed over the next 18 months) and also a document that defines the terms of engagement.
For tax reasons it is likely that this person will be paid through his own limited company. I am unsure of the knock-on effect of doing this in respect to writing the required documents (is a company SLA a very similar document to an employment contract?) and would therefore also appreciate advice in this area.
I am looking for someone who has had experience in all the areas required to be able to pull these documents together relatively quickly. I have versions of the required documents that we could use, but my preference would be to use different documents as a start point as the ones I have are very wordy. Do you have templates for that we could use as a start point?
As part of this project, I would also like to include the review of the employment contract that we will use for our first employee, hopefully later this year.
If this project sounds up your street, then please put in a proposal briefly outlining how long you expect this to take and your hourly rate. Obviously we will have to pay what it takes to get a good job done, but we are also very cost conscious at the moment as we are essentially in start-up mode.
