Description
Experience Level: Entry
In summary I will need a formula to carry out the following tasks:
There are two sources of data.
Data Source 1: Has Reference number, Name, Surname and email in each row
Data Source 2: Has also the same information above. The total number of items in source 2 is different to source 1 therefore its not a 1:1 ratio. The order of the data for each individual is also different.
What I need:
1. Look up Reference number for person X from Source 1 and find the same reference number in source 2. Copy and paste Reference number from Source 2 in the same worksheet as the Source Data 1 and on the same row for the same individual. This will result in the row for person X to include reference number from source 1 and 2 in the same row.
2. If the reference number cannot be found in source 2. The worksheet for Source 1 should say Not Found.
3. If the Reference number from Source 1 is found multiple times in Source 2. These should be counted and next to the reference number from source 2 (which was copied and pasted) the number of occurrences from source 2 should be included.
4. In the same row for person X the name and surname and email address of the person should be copied and pasted. So in one row you have both information from source 1 and 2. Next to each column for Name, Surname and Email address from source 2 we need to carry out a check to make sure the spelling of the data from both source 1 and 2 is correct. If incorrect next to each item checked it will state Error.
I am not interested in VBA, only interested in a formula which I can apply for comparing data sources.
