Hi can anyone design me a simple Weekly Hours Rota for our staff in Excel?
The weekly rota should allow us to enter from a wide number of shifts (e.g. 8-8, 8-2, 8-4. 9-5 etc) in against each employee for each day of the week (Monday to Sunday), which then automatically calculates the cumulative weekly hours for each staff (no cumulative pay amounts to be calculated)
Should be easily editable and allow us to add/delete staff without disrupting the formula.
Must have previous experience in designing a rota and able to show me proof/examples of what they have done.
For further clarification please see attached rota sample without any formulas in place.
So what we need is for the shifts (e.g. 8-8) that are entered to represent an "number of hours" value (i.e. in this case 12) so that when the employee shifts are entered it automatically calculates the total value of weekly shift hours in the Total column. It should allow for some anomalies e.g when AL is entered it does not represent a value as different staff have different daily AL allowances so will need to be entered manually.
The list of different shifts and their numerical hourly values will be provided.
We should also be allowed to enter new lines of staff/replace staff with ease and without any disruption in formulas.
