Hello
PLEASE NOTE: This is a virtual role, but you need to be able to drop in to my home in Kent.
I live on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. I have been a marketing and project management professional for over 20 years, until recently when I became disabled by a chronic (long term) illness. Unfortunately, the illness can intermittently make things like writing, maths and understanding information challenging as it has affected my brain and I also lack energy on most days. This means that I cannot fill in forms e.g. for disability, respond to council or household supplier letters. I also spend time researching my illness, contacting health bodies and chasing appointments. But some days, I just can't do anything at all, yet the world doesn't stop around me so I end up fire fighting when the symptoms ease and it's torturous!
I'm looking for someone that can work virtually and is close enough to pop in to collect any post - for instance if there are responses to your letters - at least fortnightly. You'll need to be understanding and a little flexible because my body just doesn't work on demand. Here's a rough list of things I would like help with, although this will evolve over time.
- I can dictate copy e.g. for letters or emails.
- I need help collecting post from a mailbox weekly
- Keeping on top of hospital or consultant appointments and researching facts about treatments
- Sorting out problems with badly behaving suppliers e.g. utility, which may need advice from the CAB or an ombudsman
- Completing forms for disability
I'm on a limited budget, so I am looking for around 4 to 8 hours per month on an hourly rate of £10ph depending on the amount of work.
