Mocap Fully Rigged Character with 2D Toon-Shaded Style
We are currently working on "Roxy," an exciting mixed-media project where we are bringing a 2D style animated character into the real world. We are currently producing a teaser reel/short film to serve as a proof-of-concept. We plan to achieve this 2D animated style character using a 3D model and and motion capture technology. What We Will Provide: To ensure you have everything you need to accurately capture Roxy's personality and design, we will supply comprehensive 2D reference materials, including: - Rough sketches and conceptual drawings. - Final, polished 2D character designs and turnarounds. - Detailed expression sheets (crucial for guiding facial rigging and blendshapes). The Role: We are looking for a talented 3D Character Artist and Technical Animator to take our 2D character designs and build a fully functional, production-ready 3D character. You will be responsible for the entire pipeline of this character: from the initial 3D modelling, texturing, and finally, creating a robust rig tailored for motion capture data animation. Scope of Work: - 3D Modelling: Accurately translate our provided 2D drawings into a high-quality 3D model. - Texturing/Shading: Fully texture the character to match the intended art style. - Rigging for Mocap: Build a skeletal and facial rig optimized for motion capture data retargeting. - The rig must be clean, functional, and ideally compatible with standard mocap setups (e.g., Vicon). - Weight Painting: Ensure smooth, natural deformations during movement. Technical Requirements: - Software Compatibility: The final deliverable must be fully compatible with Autodesk Maya. - File Format: The final model and rig must be delivered as an .FBX file. - Clean Topology: The model must have clean, animation-friendly edge flow. Future Opportunities: The Future: Please note that while the budget for this initial teaser phase is modest, this short film will be used to pitch for series funding and commissions. If Roxy is greenlit for a series, this role has the strong potential to evolve into an ongoing, long-term position. We will need a dedicated 3D artist to model outfit variations for Roxy, as well as design and build out a full cast of other characters within the Roxy universe. What We Need From You: - A link to your portfolio/showreel demonstrating strong character modeling, texturing, and specifically, your rigging capabilities. - A brief estimate of your turnaround time based on this description. To be considered for this role, please answer the two questions attached to this ad.

45 second narrated Animation Required.
We require a narrated animation to explain an industrial process. I have no graphics to supply so each element will have to be drawn from explainer photographs or diagrams. I will require hand holding as I have never commissioned an animation before. All advice welcome. The tone will need to be professional, not too quirky. The target audience is scientists. The whole animation needs to suggest a very controlled industrial environment. The animation will show a patented machine using sound waves to interface with and clean and clear graphite build up. Below is what we wish to achieve visually as a minimum 1. Our Company Logo on screen for approx 5 seconds 2. Images of sound waves working their magic - approx 10 seconds. 3. An image of our machine with a lance/hose attached (machine made to look a little more modern) - approx 10 seconds. 4. An image of a graphite stack and bricks being removed piece by piece - 10 seconds 5. An image of the nano microwaves (basically the same as above butmore of them/ working faster) The 45 second narration we wish to have his below. 'Amaryllis captures trapped value enabling graphite to be reclaimed. Our patented acoustic cleaning apparatus deploys multiple, low-frequency sound waves, avoiding all greenhouse gases, carbon and water. We deliver safely and with zero hours of operating failure. We have developed a floating extraction method which can remove graphite blocks, vastly improving cost and performance. Our system breaks the blocks through fluidisation, allowing the graphite to slide out using the correct frequencies and harmonics. We can generate up to 200 million nano micro waves every 4 hours which will break the graphite down' Amaryllis - reaching graphite safely and securely'

Animator Needed, E-Learning Module, Healthcare Training
The brief: We are looking for a talented animator to create a short animations for professional healthcare e-learning modules. The animations will support the introduction of a complex new concept to the learner and your job is to make that concept feel accessible, engaging and memorable without overshadowing the narration. This is not about visual spectacle. It is about clarity, warmth and impact. The best animations for learning do one thing brilliantly, they make an idea land in a way that words alone cannot. What we are looking for: • A modern, dynamic and visually interesting animation style • Simple and effective — the visuals support the message, they do not compete with it • Clean and professional — this is a published healthcare training product • Able to work in harmony with a voiceover narration — the animation breathes with the words rather than distracting from them • Delivered in MP4 format at 1080p 16:9 suitable for uploading to a professional e-learning platform The animation will need to: • Introduce a concept that is new to the learner in a way that feels intuitive and natural • Use visual metaphor and movement to reinforce key ideas at the right moments • Maintain a tone that is warm, human and professional throughout • Feel like it belongs in a modern, high quality learning environment You are ideal for this if you: • Have experience creating animation for e-learning, explainer or educational content • Understand the difference between animation that entertains and animation that teaches • Can demonstrate the ability to simplify complex ideas through movement and visual storytelling • Have a portfolio that shows restraint as well as creativity — knowing what not to animate is just as important as knowing what to • Are comfortable working from a detailed script and taking creative direction Please include in your application: • A link to your portfolio — specifically any educational or explainer animation • A brief note on how you would approach animating to support a narrated concept • Your estimated turnaround time • Your rate for a 2 to 3 minute animation

6 days ago12 proposalsRemoteCinematic Space Technology Animation Full Storyboard Provided.
WHAT THIS IS I am developing a space debris removal technology called ARDENT and need a high-quality cinematic animation for use in: - IP licensing meetings with aerospace prime contractors (ClearSpace UK, Astroscale) - UK Space Agency grant application (£75.6M programme) - UK Space Conference 2026 presentation This is NOT a generic explainer video. This is a cinematic science film — think SpaceX Starship launch films, ESA debris visualisation videos, or NASA JPL science films. Serious, awe-inspiring, technically accurate. I have a COMPLETE production storyboard document (Word doc, ~25 pages) containing: ✓ Shot-by-shot descriptions for all 13 shots ✓ Camera directions for every shot ✓ Full voiceover script (310 words, ~2m35s read time) ✓ Sound and music notes per shot ✓ AI video prompts per shot (Sora/Runway formatted — you may use these or ignore them) ✓ Style references for every scene type ✓ Colour palette and brand guidelines (ARDENT navy/gold) You will not need creative meetings before quoting. The brief is complete. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE 13 SHOTS IN BRIEF ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 01 — Earth from orbit, opening wide shot (8s) 02 — Orbital debris field visualisation with statistics overlay (12s) 03 — Defunct satellite collision in slow motion (10s) 04 — ARDENT title card (8s) 05 — Servicer spacecraft approaching debris target (14s) 06 — Vision system characterising debris with HUD overlay (12s) 07 — THE HERO SHOT: cannon fires, net deploys in slow motion (14s) ← most important 08 — Net envelops debris, cinch mechanism closes (17s) 09 — Drag augmentation sail unfurls, passive deorbit begins (17s) 10 — Data/statistics sequence with kinetic typography (13s) 11 — Three failure modes solved — comparison graphic (17s) 12 — Epic wide beauty shot, full system against Earth (13s) 13 — End card with logo reveal (15s) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ STYLE & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Style: Cinematic CGI — photorealistic space environment, not cartoon or flat design References: SpaceX Starship landing films / ESA space debris visualisations / NASA JPL Resolution: 4K minimum (3840×2160), 16:9 Frame rate: 24fps cinematic (slow motion shots at 50fps+ then slowed) Format: MP4 H.264 master + compressed version for presentations Source files: Included in price (After Effects, Blender, or Cinema 4D project files) Voiceover: NOT included — I will record or commission separately Music: NOT included — I will license separately from Artlist/Epidemic Sound Colour grade: Cinematic, cool-toned space palette with warm Earth glow ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE HERO SHOT — SHOT 07 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Shot 07 is the centrepiece of the film and the most important shot to get right. It shows a cold-gas cannon on the nose of a spacecraft firing a net package into space. The net blossoms open — 20 metres of fine Dyneema mesh expanding beautifully against black space, corner masses swinging out, sunlight catching the mesh fibres in gold. It travels at a visibly slow, controlled pace. This shot is beautiful and it needs to feel like a genuine engineering miracle. Please pay special attention to this shot in your proposal — showing me you've thought about how to achieve it will go a long way. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT I NEED IN YOUR PROPOSAL ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Your showreel / portfolio — specifically anything with: space, particles, slow motion physics, mechanical sequences, or technical animation 2. Which shots you'd approach using 3D CGI vs AI-assisted generation vs motion graphics 3. Your proposed timeline 4. Your fixed price for the complete deliverable 5. Two or three sentences on how you'd approach Shot 07 specifically I will provide the full storyboard document to shortlisted applicants immediately. IDEAL FREELANCER PROFILE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ - Experience with space, science, or technical CGI animation (essential) - Proficient in Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent 3D software (essential) - After Effects for compositing and motion graphics (essential) - Experience with particle systems and physics simulation (important) - Comfortable working from a detailed written brief without hand-holding - UK-based preferred but not essential — must be comfortable with English-language brief NOT suitable for this project: - Character animators - 2D flat/explainer video specialists - Whiteboard animation - Template-based video makers A skilled animator using a combination of 3D CGI for the mechanical shots and AI-assisted generation for the space environment shots can deliver this within a good budget. I am happy to discuss a phased approach if helpful — priority shots first, balance on delivery. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Looking forward to hearing from you. Please message with your portfolio and proposal.
