Past "Hard" Projects
British Motorcycle Brand Logos
Here it is — short, characterful and written in the Dead Cylinder Co. voice: Dead Cylinder Co. — Project Synopsis Dead Cylinder Co. is a new British print-on-demand apparel and art brand with one purpose — keeping the golden age of British motorcycles alive. We're not celebrating the famous names. We're here for the ones the real enthusiasts know. Velocette. Vincent. Ariel. Scott. Douglas. Sunbeam. Francis-Barnett. Matchless. The marques that built extraordinary machines, raced hard, and quietly disappeared. They deserve better than to be forgotten. We're looking for an illustrator who gets that instinctively. Someone who understands the visual language of a 1950s Motor Cycling magazine spread. Who knows what a Velocette Thruxton sounds like, or why the Vincent Black Shadow still makes people stop in their tracks. The work is a series of original designs across two formats — a logo mark and a vintage advertisement poster for each marque. Think period lithograph poster style, bold serif typography, the kind of illustration that could have run in a 1958 issue of The Motor Cycle and looked completely at home. We have an established brand identity, a full brand guide and an existing Archive collection of nine designs to use as style reference. The aesthetic is set. What we need is craft, authenticity and a genuine feel for the era. If you've ever looked at an old Velocette KTT and felt something — this is your project.

System integration
I require someone who has worked with Contractor Foreman, KBB Connect, Microsoft Teams, ArtiCad and Xero to provide integrations as necessary for making efficiencies in our operation. The specifics are hard to determine but ultimately, I would want to work with someone who knows how to generate automation where required so that we avoid duplication.
Luxury print planner design — collector's edition, hard cover
I am launching a 90-day creative planner for independent artists, songwriters, and producers called The Room. The planner will be produced as a series of four volumes. I need a designer who can take my completed DOCX content file and design the full planner to a premium, collector's edition standard in A5 format. The object and how it should feel This planner needs to feel like something a creative is proud to carry, something collectable. Think of how the Stanley Cup became a cultural object, people didn't just want it because it worked, they wanted it because owning it said something about who they were. That's the standard. When an independent artist puts this on their studio desk or takes it to a session, it should feel like a deliberate, confident choice. Not a notebook. Not a generic planner. An object with identity.

Friendly UK Cold Caller Needed For Local Salon Campaign
I need a friendly, confident cold caller to contact a small list of pre-qualified UK hair salons. These are not random leads. We have already checked that each salon appears on Google but does not seem to have a website or obvious online booking page. The job is simple: Call each salon, try to speak to the owner or manager, and politely explain that we have created a quick sample/mock-up showing how their salon could look with a simple client booking page. This is not a hard-sell job. The goal of the call is simply to ask permission to send the example link. The main question is: “Would it be okay if we sent you the example link so you can have a quick look?” If they say yes, you will record the best way to send it: SMS or WhatsApp. You will update a Google Sheet with the call outcome and any useful notes. What we provide A list of 92 qualified hair salon leads Business name Phone number Location Notes where available Simple call script Google Sheet tracking document Preview/mock-up link What we need from you Friendly UK-style phone manner Confident but not pushy Able to sound natural, not robotic Comfortable calling local businesses Able to take clear notes Able to update a Google Sheet accurately Experience with cold calling, appointment setting, customer service, or local business outreach preferred Simple call approach The call should sound natural and friendly, along these lines: Hi, is that [Salon Name]? I’ll be quick. I noticed you’re listed on Google, but I couldn’t see a website or simple booking page connected to the listing. We made a quick sample showing how one could look for your salon. Would it be alright if we sent you the link so you can have a quick look? If they say yes, please ask: What’s the best way to send it — SMS or WhatsApp? If they are not interested, politely thank them and end the call. No pressure. No arguing. No hard selling. No over-explaining. The only goal is to get permission to send the mock-up link. Required outcome tracking For each lead, please mark one of the following in the Google Sheet: No answer Wrong number Not interested Call back later Owner/manager not available Permission to send link Best contact method: SMS Best contact method: WhatsApp Link sent / ready to send Interested Wants follow-up call Notes Please also add brief notes where useful, for example: “Owner busy, call back Tuesday morning” “Manager asked for WhatsApp” “Not interested” “Said they already have Facebook bookings” Call attempts This first project is for 92 hair salon leads. The fixed price should include: One full calling pass through all 92 leads A second attempt for unanswered numbers where possible Updating the Google Sheet after each call Brief notes on useful conversations Important This is a soft permission-based outreach call. We are not asking you to close sales on the phone. We are not asking you to pressure anyone. We simply want to know which salon owners/managers are happy to receive the preview link. If the work is good, there will be more lead lists and ongoing work. Please reply with Your cold calling experience Your fixed price for calling 92 leads Whether calls to UK numbers are included in your quote Whether you can call UK businesses during normal working hours Whether you are comfortable updating a Google Sheet A short voice sample if available Please start your proposal with the word SALON so I know you have read the brief properly. I am looking for someone friendly, reliable, natural on the phone, and good with notes.

The offer you'll be presenting: Free to join — no cost or commitment for the trade counter Commission paid monthly on every active subscriber they refer Tiered rates: 20% (1–10 referrals), 25% (11–25), 30% (26+) We provide QR codes, referral cards, and marketing materials What I need from you: Cold calling UK trade counters from a list I'll provide Logging call outcomes (interested / callback / not interested) Booking follow-up calls or passing warm leads back to me Ideally some experience in B2B telesales or trade/construction sector I'll provide a full call script, partner guide PDF, and all objection-handling notes before you start. Brand identity for Axenara, web studio for hosts and creators
We're Axenara, a web studio that works across hosting, design, development, and consultancy. We host websites, build websites and apps, advise on web services, and manage them once they're live. We also do work for streamers and content creators, and we're heading toward releasing our own web apps based on some of the internal apps we built for ourselves. Our clients range from individuals and creators to small businesses and larger companies. We're rebranding from scratch, alongside rebuilding our web services, and looking for a designer to shape the whole identity with us. The core idea is that Axenara takes the hard parts of the internet off our clients' hands, so they can focus on what they do best. We want a brand that feels warm but capable, modern but not trend-chasing, confident without shouting. The closest reference point is Monzo. They took a category (banking) that everyone assumed had to be cold and corporate, and made it feel human and likeable. The hosting and web services category has the same problem, full of identical blue-and-grey companies, and we want to do for it what Monzo did for banking. Stripe, Linear, and Notion all live in the same neighbourhood as what we're after. The most important part of this brief is how the brand is structured. The model we want to follow is Atlassian. Atlassian have one parent brand (the word Atlassian and its mark) and a family of product brands underneath it: Jira, Confluence, Trello, Bitbucket, Statuspage, and so on. Each product has its own logo, its own colour, its own identity, but they all feel unmistakably like siblings. That family resemblance comes from a small set of rules they've defined internally: every product wordmark is set in the same custom typeface, every product icon follows the same construction language (flat geometric shapes, two or three colours, no gradients or effects), every product owns one colour drawn from a shared palette, and the parent brand has its own colour and stays quiet in product contexts so it doesn't compete with the product. That set of rules is the most important thing we need from you. The Axenara parent brand designed properly, yes, but underneath it a written, named system that says exactly what makes something a member of the Axenara family. Something like "all product wordmarks are set in [X]," "all product icons are built using [Y] construction approach," "all product colours are drawn from [this palette]," "the parent appears at [this scale] relative to the product in lockups." To prove the system works, we'd love to see a couple of concepts for example products: our hosting service, our web development arm, and one of our SaaS tools called ChangeFlow. These are real products that exist or are about to exist, but the brand concepts are demonstrations of how your system applies, not finished product brands. We expect to refine them later or design more products inside the same rules ourselves. A few hard constraints. No blue (the whole category defaults to it and we want out). No generic tech imagery, clouds, servers, globes, swooshes, circuit lines. Beyond that we're genuinely open, and we'd rather see something unexpected than something safe. We're looking for the full parent identity (Axenara logo, variants, colour, typography), a written system of rules that defines how product brands are built underneath it (the typeface, the shape language, the colour palette, the parent-product hierarchy), and demonstration concepts for two or three example products (hosting, web development, ChangeFlow) to show the system in use. It doesn't have to be formal brand guidelines, but the rules need to be explicit enough that we can build the next product's brand ourselves and have it sit comfortably alongside the others. Timeline is flexible, we'd rather get it right than rush. Please share your portfolio, your process, and any ideas you have. We're especially interested in hearing what caught your eye about the brief, or where your instinct would take it. Looking forward to hearing from you.
