17 days ago19 proposalsRemoteMachine Learning Research Proposal Specialist
Overview We are looking for a Machine Learning Research Proposal Specialist to create a polished, professional research-style write-up for an ML evaluation task. The submission should propose a machine learning problem within the writer’s domain of expertise and must be directly related to machine learning. The final deliverable should be written in markdown format, follow the provided template exactly, and be no longer than 1–2 pages with a maximum of 8 paragraphs. Project Goal The goal of this project is to design a machine learning benchmark or problem that is complex enough to challenge a strong state-of-the-art LLM. The problem should not be a simple generic ML pipeline task. It should require deep domain expertise, advanced reasoning, and layered technical understanding that would be difficult for a general-purpose model to solve without specialized knowledge. Responsibilities The selected specialist will write a complete research proposal-style submission using the required sections: Domain and Motivation, Task Design, Data and Data Generation, Sources of Difficulty, Reference Solution and Scoring, and Citations. Each section should be concise, polished, and limited to one paragraph. The proposal should clearly explain the ML domain, why the task is meaningful, what is being predicted, how the data would be generated or adapted, why the task requires extrapolation, and why naive approaches would fail. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has strong experience in machine learning, applied AI, data science, or ML research, with expertise in at least one technical or scientific domain such as healthcare, finance, robotics, cybersecurity, biology, materials science, geospatial analysis, NLP, computer vision, or another complex field. They should be able to design a creative ML task that rewards real domain knowledge rather than basic textbook ML skills. Required Skills Strong understanding of machine learning problem formulation, benchmark design, data generation strategies, train/test split methodology, model evaluation, and scoring metrics is required. The candidate should also be comfortable explaining why a task is difficult, what domain-specific insights are needed, and how an expert would approach solving the problem. Clear technical writing and the ability to produce concise markdown-formatted documentation are essential. Deliverable The final deliverable will be a markdown-formatted research proposal following the provided template. It should be professional, concise, and no more than 8 paragraphs total. The proposal must involve machine learning directly and should include citations where applicable, such as relevant research papers, datasets, GitHub repositories, or other credible references that support the proposed task. Important Notes This is a machine learning evaluation project, so proposals that are not directly related to ML will not be accepted. The model output should be ignored during the evaluation process, and once the prompt has been entered and the model generates a response, the evaluator should select “Done Chatting.”

Product UI / Design System Designer for Hospitality SaaS
I’m looking for an experienced Product UI / UX Designer to help define the visual language for my SaaS platform, Grace. Grace is a hospitality operating system covering reservations, CRM, loyalty, marketing, reporting, EPOS and AI. The platform is already well into development and contains the majority of the required functionality. This is NOT a “design my app from scratch” project. The workflows already exist. I need somebody to take an existing product and turn it into a polished, premium SaaS experience. What already exists * Existing working application * Existing design system * Comprehensive UI Requirements Catalogue * Premium UI kits for inspiration * Hundreds of implemented screens and workflows * Existing React / Tailwind codebase What I need I am not expecting every screen in the application to be designed. Instead, I want somebody to define the visual language that everything else will follow. Deliverables would include: * Production-ready Figma Design System * Typography * Colour palette * Spacing system * Elevation and shadows * Iconography * Buttons * Inputs * Tables * KPI cards * Navigation * Drawers * Modals * Charts * Empty states * Loading states * Design tokens I’d also like approximately 8-10 flagship screens redesigned, such as: * Dashboard * Guest Profile * Reporting * Reservations * Host Screen * Marketing * AI Panel * Settings The remaining screens will then be implemented using this design language. Style I am aiming for a premium B2B SaaS product. Think: * Linear * Vanta * Stripe Dashboard * Notion * Raycast * Modern Apple interfaces I already own premium UI kits which can be used for inspiration, particularly around analytics, widgets and charts. I do not want these copied. They should simply inform the visual direction. The final product should have its own identity. Important This project is about creating a cohesive design system, not producing hundreds of individual screens. Experience designing complex SaaS products is much more important than experience creating marketing websites. Please include: * Examples of SaaS dashboards or internal tools you’ve designed. * Your approach to creating scalable design systems. * Whether you’ve worked alongside AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code. * Your estimated timeline and cost. Budget: Approximately £500, potential to work on future development of the product as we scale and hit the market.

Set Up Simple CRM & Automation System
I run a small accommodation matching business and need help setting up a simple, low-cost CRM and workflow automation system. At the moment, I have a WordPress website with enquiry forms using Google Forms. Responses go into Google Sheets. My business email is Microsoft Outlook. I am finding it too time-consuming to manually manage enquiries, update spreadsheets, track follow-ups, write similar emails, and create booking confirmation documents and host/guest summary forms. The system should help me manage: * Candidate enquiries * Host enquiries * Bookings * Follow-ups * Daily tasks * Outlook email drafts * Booking confirmation documents * Host/guest summary documents Ideally, I would like: 1. A simple CRM/tracker for candidates, hosts and bookings. 2. Statuses such as new enquiry, needs reply, awaiting response, ready to match, host offered, awaiting payment/details, booking confirmed, active stay, completed and not proceeding. 3. A daily to-do view showing overdue and due-today actions. 4. Fields for priority, next action, follow-up date, last contacted date, notes, area, dates, budget, host offered and booking status. 5. New enquiries from Google Forms/Google Sheets to feed into the system. 6. Outlook email draft templates for common replies. I do not want emails auto-sent without review. 7. Templates for booking confirmation documents and host/guest summaries. 8. A way to populate documents from booking details and save them in an organised folder structure. 9. A simple setup that keeps monthly software costs low. 10. A short guide or video showing me how to use and maintain the system. I am open to suggestions on the best tools, but possible options include Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Planner/To Do, Power Automate, Airtable, Make, Zapier, Google Sheets, Word templates or Google Docs templates. I would like someone who can recommend the best low-cost setup and build the first version. Please quote a fixed price and explain: * What system/tools you recommend * Why you recommend them * What will be included * How long it will take * What information you need from me * Any monthly software costs * Whether I will be able to manage it myself afterwards I want a simple, practical first version rather than a complicated custom system.

Shopify Dynamic Shipping with Google Merchant Center
✅ The Situation We want to sell all of our current Shopify products on Google Shopping and Google Ads, with the ability to continuously grow and expand the catalogue over time. Shipping in Shopify is merchant calculated (dynamic) using ShipZip. Shipping varies by: • Weight • Postcode / zone • Product type Shipping is calculated accurately at checkout based on these rules. ✅ The Problem Google Merchant Center does not directly support complex dynamic merchant calculated shipping logic from Shopify. The default shipping setup options inside GMC are: • Flat rate shipping • Price based shipping (based on order value) • Weight based shipping tables • Destination based shipping (country/state/postcode ranges) • Carrier calculated shipping (limited availability by country) • Shipping labels (filter based rules) • Free shipping thresholds • Handling time and transit time settings All of these options require manual rule creation inside GMC. For our store, this is not practical because: • We plan to significantly increase the number of SKUs over time • Product weights vary significantly • Shipping varies by postcode • Inventory constantly changes Recreating our shipping logic inside GMC using weight tables or postcode rules would require thousands of calculations and ongoing manual maintenance. ✅ What We Need We need Google Shopping to display shipping costs that are calculated at Shopify checkout as close as possible to the actual checkout rate, without manually rebuilding shipping rules inside GMC. We also do not want to constantly adjust shipping settings in GMC every time products are added or removed from the catalogue. The solution must be: • As accurate as possible • Scalable as the catalogue grows • Policy compliant • Low maintenance • Automatically adaptable when products change ✅ Possible Scalable Solutions (Ranked by Preference) 1️⃣ Use Shopify / ShipZip Live Shipping via a Feed App (Most Preferred) Use a feed app (such as Simprosys, AdNabu, or CedCommerce) that pulls Shopify’s live checkout shipping rates — including ShipZip logic — and sends them to Google via the Content API. This allows Google to use merchant calculated shipping directly from Shopify instead of recreating shipping tables inside GMC. It is the most scalable and accurate solution and automatically adjusts as products are added or removed. 2️⃣ Use Google Content API with Item Specific Shipping Send product data to Google using the Content API and attach shipping costs at the SKU level. Advanced feed apps can calculate shipping per product based on Shopify rules and pass that value to Google automatically. This provides strong accuracy but may require a more advanced or premium feed configuration. 3️⃣ Use Shipping Labels to Group Products (Least Preferred – Less Accurate) Assign shipping labels (e.g., Zone1, Bulky, Standard) within Shopify or the feed app, then create shipping rules in GMC based on those labels. This reduces the number of shipping rules by grouping similar products, but it relies on averaged or simplified shipping logic. It is less precise and may not always match checkout shipping exactly, making it the least preferred option. ✅ Open to Additional Solutions If there are other technically viable methods to achieve this objective — particularly solutions that improve accuracy, scalability, or automation — we are open to considering them. ✅ Objective The goal is to mirror Shopify’s dynamic merchant calculated shipping in Google as closely as possible, without relying on manual weight based tables or constant updates inside Google Merchant Center.
