Could you share the current tech stack, architecture, and any key pain points in the existing Hotel Management System so I can understand where improvements or new features will have the biggest impact?
-
Hello alex,
With over 100 hotel staff actively using the platform, are there any specific workflows or technical bottlenecks that are currently limiting performance, scalability, or day-to-day operations? -

- Can you provide details about how billing is currently handled? Should the system support multiple payment methods, taxes, discounts, refunds, split payments, invoices, and payment tracking? Also, are there any integrations required with existing payment gateways or accounting systems?
- How would you like room management to function within the platform? For example, should staff be able to track room status such as available, occupied, cleaning in progress, maintenance required, or out of service, and should housekeeping activities be managed directly through the system? -

Hi Alex,
To refine the estimate further, I would appreciate clarification on:
1. Is the system already live or in development stage?
2. Which frontend framework is currently being used?
3. Are APIs fully ready or also need development?
4. Do you already have UI/UX designs?
5. What modules are highest priority for Phase 1?
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
VConn Pvt Ltd -

Do you have any complete requirement document so that I can review all in one go and can communicate on the basis of? Kindly let me know.
Thank you -

1. Which area of the platform currently creates the most operational friction for hotel staff: reservations, room allocation, billing, reporting, housekeeping coordination, or guest services? Understanding the bottleneck helps identify where development effort will create the greatest business impact.
2. With more than 100 staff using the system, what are the most common complaints or support issues raised by users today? These often reveal architectural or workflow problems that are more important than adding new features.
3. Is the long-term vision to evolve this into a multi-property platform supporting multiple hotels, or will it remain focused on a single operation? This significantly affects database design, permissions, reporting, and scalability decisions.
4. If you could improve only one business metric over the next 12 months through this platform, would it be staff efficiency, booking accuracy, revenue optimization, guest experience, or reporting visibility?
5. Are there critical workflows currently handled outside the system through spreadsheets, WhatsApp, email, or manual processes that you would eventually like to bring into the platform?
6. From a technical perspective, is your biggest challenge currently feature delivery, performance under load, maintaining legacy code, or scaling the platform as the business grows?
7. Are there plans to introduce external integrations such as payment gateways, channel managers, booking engines, accounting systems, key-card systems, or third-party hospitality software that should be considered when designing new features?
-

Quick Questions:
1. What is your current technology stack (frontend, backend, and database)?
2. Is this primarily a feature development role, or will there also be responsibility for system architecture and modernization? -

Hi Alex, For your hotel management system, could you share what technology stack is currently being used on both the frontend and backend, and are you planning a full rebuild or incremental feature development on the existing platform?
