Trying it texture and sculpt of Daz3d genesis 3 figures in Zbrush
Need help figuring out how to import and export meshes into zbrush without losing base mesh. ..I keep running into an situation where I sculpt and texture at a high subdivision, then computer crashes and when I turn it back on, the lower subdivisions are missing.
occasionally I will use spotlight and not realize that my symmetry is set to off. I would rather not have to start over, so need to know how to project and/or duplicate not just sculpted info but painted info from one side to another...

have you tried usingz remesher in zbrush . this can create high sub d model . try impoting with lower sub divided model. the sub divide the model in z brsuh with z remesher
Caleb W.14 Jul 2017That won't work because the issue is not just polycount, it is that the model has to maintain udim standard uv layout... zremesher just looks for easiest route to the number allocated, and does not respect uv borders
