Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Current setup:
There are two systems.
1/ Oracle database powering an extranet site (pushing out an XML file)
2/ Public facing website
Essentially, looking for a freelance XML expert to develop the missing link (we think this is an XSL / XSLT file but may be wrong). The XML file which is being pushed out is done \'on demand\' as in when you type in a url you get the latest snapshot of the DB. There are over 200 fields which are available via the extranet, however we only require approx. 15 fields to be displayed on the public facing website.
The other thing to bear in mind, these files are updated manually once a month through 100\'s of .shtml files. We assume the XSL / XSLT file is filtering the the data and some sort of script is being run to convert the files into .shtml
Thats all I can say for now. If we do move ahead the successful candidate will need to be:
- London Based
- Willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Has experience of working on corporate projects
- Must be professional and have good communications skills
- XML Expert
The overall requirement is to generate the required roaming information pages on GSMWorld using the data output from the Infocentre, coupled with the mapping supplied by the external provider. The data on the GSMWorld pages must reflect any data which has been updated on the Infocentre no later than one week following the update.
