Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I’m a mature student studying on an Higher Education course at my local college and I am struggling with deadlines and time management. I’m looking for a tutor to help me with this by ensuring that I am getting my work done by sticking to a work plan each day.
Essentially, I’m looking for someone to check that I have done what I plan to do each day. I will create a timetable each evening for the following day and report to you what has and has not been completed. In addition to this I may set personal goals relating to exercise, work and punctuality and report on their progress to you also.
We will use Google chat to talk to each other. Google chat is a sort of email text messenger (it does not involve video like skype). It is quite easy to set up with a Gmail account, I can send you an instructional guide if you have any difficulty. Basically, it will be the equivalent in work load to reading and replying to an email each day and should only take around 5 mins and can be done at any point in the day. It will involve the following:
- Holding me accountable/to become annoyed/ disappointed to sternly motivate me if timetables are not kept to and work is not completed at the required rate. I’m looking for authoritative, firm, “tough but fair” type of support.
- Ensuring that timetables are made
- Occasionally glancing over assignments or work (to confirm it has been done, or is being done, (not to proof read or check academically at this stage))
- To oversee long term plans, i.e. check that daily timetables will likely result in assignment completion before the deadline
- To keep all correspondence confidential
I will pay £10 per week (£40 a month). You will need to check up once a day (at any time), at least 6 times a week, and it should only take around 5 mins.
This is the first time I am trying this, and don’t think it has been done before, so I am trying out several people to see how it goes. I will run a trail of 1 week. I will pay £5 before starting and £7 after completing the first trial week and then I will decide if to continue.
Please let me know if you are interested and if you have any questions.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Many thanks,
Bill
