I'm looking into refreshing graphics/branding and building two websites for our recruitment agency business.
We have two distinct sister brands - one in education recruitment (teaching staff and nursery/school/college clients), and one in secretarial and office support recruitment (office staff into legal/financial services sector clients).
I'm looking to keep each brand on separate sites, perhaps with the education agency site a little more colourful, and the office support agency site a little more corporate/professional, but preferably with similarities in terms of design and structure between the two, for consistency and ease of site administration.
We need a really user-friendly backend, so I'd like to use Wordpress with a pre-built or custom theme. We can arrange to host the sites, and I am looking for someone based in the UK (ideally London) although I'd only want minimal ongoing tech support after launch.
In terms of the site structure I will be able to provide a site map for each brand, based on editing existing content. It'll be about 6 pages for each brand, most with static content, and some containing a few anchor links/page jumps.
We’re traditional types, so we need the sites to be clean, clear and simple, not too much movement or lots of scrolling effects or disorienting photo banners! We mainly do business in person, over the phone and by email so we don’t need integration with social media or any CRM systems. However, we will need the following functionality:
* job listing – an ability to post simple job adverts and have candidates send us their CVs in response, preferably so that the application appears in our email inboxes. The adverts don't have to be searchable, just categorised or tagged somehow so candidates can see suitable jobs. It'd be great if the headings of the adverts could feed into a widget on the home page, but nothing more complex - no need for candidate accounts/job alerts/"email me jobs" etc.
* register with us - a simple form / CV submission tool for candidates to email their CVs and some basic contact details etc straight to our inboxes, with a couple of drop-down menus and preferably with a CAPTCHA or other function.
* refer a friend - a simple form for people to send us their potential candidate friends, again a couple of drop-downs and a CAPTCHA.
Branding-wise, I'm looking for a refresh of our existing branding rather than a total redesign, but it needs bringing up-to-date as we're currently using graphics designed in the 90s...!
