Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for a dedicated wordpress developer who can help me customize a template I purchased. Please make sure to read my instructions very carefully before applying.
I bought this theme:
http://kohette.com/wpthemes/narratium/
I need to have edits to it before I publish it on my website.
Task 1: The left hand side bar should be static at all times. When I click on an article (right hand side) - this article should _expand_ in the right space and "push down" the other articles underneath it. When a reader has red the chosen article (hence, scrolled down), they will see the other articles displayed bellow as before they clicked an article.
Task 2: The "home" button (upper right corner) should _not_ have a menu-button attached to it. INSTEAD: There shall be three buttons, displayed (top-centered) on the left hand side bar. These three buttons (icon style) are:
1) Home (left icon: House)
2) Menu (middle icon: Hamburger menu)
3) Star (right icon: Star)
When user clicks "Home" -> They "refresh" the home page.
When user clicks "Menu" -> A "roll down" menu appears, covering the left hand side bar. The menu displayes 5 buttons only.
When user clicks "Star" -> A new page appears on the right hand side bar, pushing down the articles displayed. When the user has red the info (hence, scrolled down) he sees the articles displayed underneath, as before.
OBS! When navigating the menu-buttons:
The 5 menu buttons that appear are the following (they should be editable though, as this site will be in Swedish when published):
(1) SUBSCRIBE,
(2) ABOUT US,
(3) ABOUT THE AUTHOR,
(4) PROJECT X,
(5) CONTANT
No matter which of these buttons the user clicks, the same "phenomena" should happen as when the user clicks the "star" icon. Meaning: There is a page opening up on the _RIGHT_ hand side, pushing down the articles, displaying some information.
Task 3: Where it currently says "Features Overview / Buy Theme" (left hand side bar) there should INSTEAD be a search field, making it possible for the user to search for keywords related to the website. When they search for a word, the relevant articles should appear in the grid-system on the right hand side. The left hand side bar remains fixated at all times.
Task 4: Remove elements:
A) At the end of each article, there should not be a possibility to comment. Instead, when a reader has finished an article they see an option to share the article through social icons, or just continue scrolling to the other articles underneath.
B) Hide the author's names from the article previews.
C) Remove "X responses" from the article preview. Center "X min read" on each preview.
-------
I will hand you the documentation/code to this theme, and I would like you to execute these edits with clean, SEO friendly programming. The end result should of course also be fully responsive and if you could please help me upload it to my Wordpress dashboard, I would be very grateful
I am looking to hire someone as soon as possible!
Looking forward your application,
Best,
Katrine
