Description
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of every page/module: - Export of member records via CSV file.
Description of requirements/features: Hi,
I have an existing Wordpress site which a previous developer has built a CPD section allowing members to add CPD records to their account. These records contain basic information such as the event date, venue, organiser, duration and a few other bits of information. We'd like a function added whereby a member can export each record as a CSV file on the front-end. I've attached a screenshot showing the front end functionality of the CPD section which hopefully explains it a little better.
This plugin might help on the project as it seems to already do most of what I need but would require some customisation - https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-csv/. I've got it installed on the site and it looks really useful but because the original developer didn't build the CPD records as a custom post type it doesn't work out of the box unfortunately.
Any questions let me know.
Thanks,
James

as others said, only one row/whats on screen, or all current user rows?
do you need also all users/all rows if admin ? (for your self?)
how the page been made then? is it a custom template page?
let me know, ill then estimate costs. -

- You want each logged in user to beable to export their record in CSV format from their dashboard?
Please confirm -
I just called you up can u share me your email id?

Hi James,
could you send me the code which commits the records into the database, maybe it will be more effective to add the records as custom post types?
Thank you,
Lucy -
Hi James, Could you please clarify if you would like the user to export only a single CPD per CSV file (CSV with only one row for the current CPD) or you'll like the user to have the option to export all the CPD they have on file with your website? As this will be helpful to know in order to give you a more accurate quote. Cheers, Tom
